Uniform

GIRLS and BOYS

  • Plaid pleated skirt or uniform mid-grey trousers.
  • White double revered blouse or white shirt, royal blue v-necked jumper with school crest.
  • Black/dark shoes. (Leather only – for Health and Safety )
  • Runners/trainers are not allowed except for PE.

PE UNIFORM

  • Navy tracksuit bottoms, white polo shirt, runners/trainers (non-marking)
  • Boots required for all field games.
  • Helmets are required for Hurling and Camogie.
  • No jewellery of any description allowed in PE (Health and Safety)
  • Jewellery must be kept to a minimum – one pair of stud ear-rings in ear lobe, one ring.
  • Students who come to school with inappropriate jewellery will be asked to remove same and leave it in a sealed envelope for collection at the end of term.
  • No eyebrow, nose, tongue or facial studs of any kind are permitted at any time.

School Jackets

Only the prescribed school jacket can be worn in school and to all school events.

Dress Code

  • Jackets and scarves may not be worn in or between classes – hoodies and non-uniform jumpers or sweatshirts are forbidden.
  • It is not recommended that students wear make-up.
  • Excess make-up will have to be removed.
  • Unconventional hair colouring is not acceptable.
  • The school uniform must be worn at all times including going to and from school.
  • Students will be expected to wear a uniform provided by the school if they are unable to wear their own.
  • No excuses will be accepted for wearing the full uniform as specified.
  • In the event that a medical condition requires a change of clothing – a medical certificate from the family doctor is required.

Acceptance of the school dress code regulations reflects the students attitude to his/her work.

We expect parents/guardians full co-operation in this matter as we work together to foster self-respect and to instil a sense of pride in our school image.
